How to Prepare for Your Lesson

Find details on where to go, when to arrive, and what to expect from your lesson.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information

Step 1:
Arrival and Check-In
  • Arrive to check-in 30 minutes before your lesson start time.
  • If you or your child are picking up rental gear, arrive 45 minutes early for equipment fitting.
  • Head first to the front of the Adventure Center. Refer to the Getting Here & Parking information.
  • Look for Lesson flags and check in at the table.
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
  • In case of emergency, we will contact the emergency contacts listed on the child's profile. Be sure to update that information reflect the adult who is accompanying them on the day.
Step 2:
Rental Equipment
  • Parents will check-in, then pick up rental gear. Once they have their gear and packet they will proceed to meet their instructor.
  • If are bringing your own gear please skip this step.
Step 3:
Meet Your Instructor
  • Once connected to their instructor the parent may then leave for the duration of the lesson.
  • Parents and/or guardians must remain on premises for the duration of the lesson.
  • For the success of your child, we encourage all spectators to keep a healthy distance or wait till lessons end as to limit distractions.
Lesson Start and Pick-Up Times

Your child's instructor will share specific location and pick-up time details when you arrive.

  • Half-Day Morning Lessons: 9:30am - 12pm
  • Full-Day Lessons: 9:30am - 3pm

  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
Step 2:
Rental Equipment
  • Pick up your rental equipment, then proceed to meet your instructor.
  • If you are bringing your own gear please skip this step.
  • Note: All rental equipment must be returned to the Adventure Center by 4:15pm
Step 3:
Meet Your Instructor
  • Be prepared to discuss your goals so you and your instructor can customize your experience.
  • Dropping off a child? Breaks, drop off- spots and contact plans can be discussed at this time.
  • Lessons will depart promptly at the start time determined during booking. Please arrive dressed and ready for a day of fun on the hill!

What to Expect

  • All group lessons are sorted by sport, age, and ability level.
  • The instructor will determine lesson plans based on the group's ability level and goals.
  • All participants will explore terrain aligned to their ability level while practicing new techniques at their own pace.
  • Lunch is included with Full Day Child Group Lessons only. For all other lessons, the instructor will provide breaks for food, water and rest as appropriate.
  • If your child brings snacks, please do not pack any that contain nuts.
  • Restroom breaks are built into the day, but all participants are encouraged to use the restroom prior to the lesson start time. Restrooms are available at the Adventure Center.

What You Need

Your comfort and safety is our number one priority, so review the following items to ensure you are fully equipped for your ski or snowboard lesson.

All guests must have a pass or a lift ticket to participate in a lesson. Best pricing is available online, in advance.

Gear
Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment and boots if already owned. If renting, please arrive an hour prior to your lesson start time to ensure enough time for pick up.

Helmets

A winter sport helmet is required for all lesson participants aged 14 and under, and 18 and under in designated children’s lessons. We strongly encourage helmet use for all ages. Helmets can be included along with a rental order or rented separately.

Clothing & Accessories
Waterproof snow pants and gloves or mittens are strongly recommended to keep you warm and dry. Goggles protect your eyes from the cold air and block UV light.
