Bike Park Safety

Please, No Dogs Allowed:

For the safety of our guests and dogs, dogs are not allowed on bike trails. Detailed policy available here.

Bike Park Gear Checklist:

  • A helmet is required (full face helmets recommended)
  • Bikes are highly recommended to be equipped with full suspension and front and rear disk brakes.  Downhill Specific bikes strongly recommended.
  • All bikes must have a tire width of 3" or less to securely fit into our lift racks
  • Additional recommended gear:
    • Closed toe and heel shoes
    • Elbow, knee, and shin pads
    • Gloves
    • Goggles, glasses, or some type of eye protection
    • Body armor and neck braces for additional protection and support

Can I Ride My Own Bike?

To maximize your safety and enjoyment we recommend a using a Freeride or Downhill Specific bike with full suspension and front and rear disc brakes.  While Cross Country mountain bikes have design characteristics that make them great for climbing, peddling, and negotiating single track, they are not recommended for the rigors of lift served gravity trails.

If you do not have a bike, or need the perfect bike to match our trails, Mount Sunapee Bike Shop has you covered with a fleet of bikes ideal for learning to ride downhill.
