Our Mission

Mount Sunapee Area Ski ClubThe Mt. Sunapee Area Ski Club is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1954. Through volunteer efforts and fundraising, the club supports a variety of winter programs for area youth.

  • Feb. 18 - Ski Club Cookout
  • Mar. 18 - Tuohy Memorial Mighty Mite Race on Eggbeater
  • Mar. 18 - John. W. McCrillis Award Dinner - Award given to someone who has contributed greatly to the sport of skiing - Sunapee Lodge at 6:00pm - Reservations are required by Tuesday, March 14th. Call 603-763-3500 to reserve your spot today.
  • Mar. 19 - Family Fun Day and AWards - Raffle for Ski Lift Chair
  • Mar. 24 - TGIF Mark Parris - Rick Hall Race
  • Mar. 25 - Annual Chip Gilroy T-shirt Race
  • Mar. 26 - Mueller Cup - Freestyle Mogul Competition on Upper Flying Goose Trail

23rd Annual MSASC John W. McCrillis Award & Banquet 2017

John W. McCrillis, a member of the United States Ski Hall of Fame, was a skiing pioneer.  This award is given in his honor to pay tribute to local people who have contributed to the sport of skiing.

New England Handicapped Sports Association was established in 1970 as a ski club at Haystack Mountain in Vermont. In 1971 Mary and Earl Plummer joined the ski club and in 1974 the Plummer’s were instrumental in establishing NEHSA’S Non-Profit organizational status and moving NEHSA from Haystack Mountain to Mount Sunapee.

Community Contributions MSASC has provided:

  • A very successful Ski Swap - Area's largest Ski Swap
  • Assistance to the Alpine, Freestyle and Jumping programs
  • Support to the New Hampshire Ski Museum
  • Host to the John W McCrillis Award Dinner
  • Sponsored Toys for Tots and Teens during the holidays
  • Support to the TGIF Race Series & Mark Parris Race
  • Awards for the Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboarding programs
  • Donated to Norris Cotton Cancer Center - Chip Gilroy Fund
  • Financial assistance to Olympic Ski Jumpers, Nick Alexander
  • Supplied trophies for the Mighty Mite racers
  • Helped start the Newport Ski Team
  • Helped fund the Sunapee Elementary School Jumping Team
  • Purchased both the roller jump and landing mats for introductions to jumping
  • Hosted membership dinners
  • Sponsored the Warren Miller film in support of Warner Youth Sports
  • Presented Appreciated plaque to the Lake Sunapee Bank
