Alan has been and continues to be passionate about skiing, the industry, the guest experiences and Mount Sunapee.  He began his paid career 1971 as a ski patroller.  In 1976 Alan went to King Ridge as assistant director of the ski school.  When King Ridge closed, Alan came back to Mount Sunapee as a racing coach for the Mt. Sunapee Area Ski Club.  He was a grooming supervisor, mountain ops manager, worked in snowmaking, was director of the Mount Sunapee Ski School, and overseeing many departments on and off the hill.

Alan has about 44 years in the ski industry.  He is always checking the trails to be sure they are in the best condition possible.

Alan is the third generation of the Ritchie family working at the mountain.  His grandfather, and father were both assistant managers of Mount Sunapee.

Congratulation, Alan.
