Mt. Sunapee Area Ski Club

Our Mission

Mount Sunapee Area Ski ClubThe Mt. Sunapee Area Ski Club (MSASC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1954. Through volunteer efforts and fund raising, the Club supports a variety of winter programs for area youth.

We would like to congratulate Ira "Ike" Townsend for winning the 2012 McCrillis Award.

  • Dec. 8 - Social Dinner - Toys for Tots and Teens
  • Jan. 26 - Pot Luck Dinner night - Silent Auction/ Annual Meeting - Public welcome; reservations required.
  • Mar. 16 - John. W. McCrillis Award Dinner (see below)
  • Mar. 30 - Chip Gilroy T-shirt Race
  • Mar. 31 - Family Fun Day, Hedi Graf Award, Annual Meeting

19th Annual MSASC John W. McCrillis Award & Banquet 2013

John W. McCrillis, a member of the United States Ski Hall of Fame, was a skiing pioneer.  This award is given in his honor to pay tribute to local people who have contributed to the sport of skiing.

This year's receipient is:

Community Contributions MSASC has provided:

  • A very successful Ski Swap - Areas largest Ski Swap
  • Assistance to the Alpine, Freestyle and Jumping programs.
  • Help in partial funding to the Kearsarge Regional Middle School Ski Team.  (Enabling about 35 student athletes to compete.)
  • Support to the New Hampshire Ski Museum
  • Host to the John W McCrillis Award Dinner
  • Sponsored Toys for Tots and Teens during the holidays
  • Support to the TGIF Race Series & Mark Parris Race
  • Awards for the Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboarding programs
  • Donated to Norris Cotton Cancer Center - Chip Gilroy Fund
  • Financial assistance to Olympic Ski Jumpers, Nick Alexander & Chris Lamb
  • Large donation towards the purchase of a training airbag
