Summertime has never been so much fun at Mount Sunapee! You can soar over, under and through the trees...at the new ADVENTURE PARK at Mount Sunapee. The Adventure Park at South Peak offers the same family fun, challenge and exhilaration that skiers and snowboarders relish at Mount Sunapee during the winter months. New activities this summer: two news loops in the Aerial Challenge Course, AcroBag airbag and Interpretive Hiking Trail.
The Canopy Zip-Line Tour features a series of zip-lines, rope bridges and rappelling as you descend from the top of South Peak. There are eight ziplines in total highlighted by the final 1,000’ dual ziplines to a platform behind the Welcome Center, from which you will rappel back down to earth. From the first tree platform to the last platform you will travel a distance of almost ¾ of a mile above the forest floor. Groups fly through a canopy of oak, beech, maple, birch and evergreen trees. Reservations strongly recommended; walk-ins accepted if space is available. Please call 603-763-3564.
Adventurers age six and up negotiate obstacles that stretch from tree to tree. From a central platform in the woods there is a beginner loop, two intermediate loops and an advance loop totaling 32 obstacles that vary in height and difficulty. Obstacles include zip-lines, a net traverse, rickety bridges, monkey vines, a log crossing, plank bridges, rope bridges, the Silver Surfer and more. Everyone wears a harness and is locked onto a safety line as they make their way around the self-guided loops. Children and adults welcome!
These excursions wind through the base area and lower slopes of Mount Sunapee on a Segway® PT equipped with special off-road tires. Ninety minute excursions are guided by Mount Sunapee staff and include an orientation and instruction. Come discover why Segways are even more fun when you take them off-road. Reservations strongly recommended. Please call 603-763-3564
Mount Sunapee’s Disc Golf Course winds its way in and out of the woods as it follows Province Trail down from the top of South Peak. Take the chairlift to the top of South Peak where you will find the first tee box. You'll cross over streams and stone walls, bend your throws around trees and rocks, and even tee off from the top of a cliff as you work your way down the mountainside. Discs designed especially for disc golf are available for rent.
The Wild Goose Waters 18-hole Miniature Golf Course is located at the base of the Adventure Park at South Peak. The course is open daily and also Friday and Saturday evenings under the lights until 8:00pm. “Wild Goose Waters” is the Indian translation for “Sunapee”. The course is adorned with replicas of the three light houses on Lake Sunapee, and some even come into play.
Ride the Clipper Ship Quad chairlift to the top of South Peak and hike the Interpretive Hiking Trail or one of other hiking trails to the bottom. Great views of Mount Sunapee and the surrounding mountains. Up-hill rides only, no down-loading.
