Newbury, NH – (November 3, 2006) – Responding to requests from
companies to be able to mix business with pleasure, Mount Sunapee
Resort has opened the new Hearthstone Room in Spruce Lodge.
This unique meeting and function facility is literally steps from
the ski slopes and its centerpiece is a large fieldstone fireplace
that warmed skiers at Mount Sunapee decades ago. This
beautiful fireplace, built by a renowned local mason, has been in
essence “brought out of retirement” for the Hearthstone Room.
The Hearthstone Room can accommodate meetings or functions for
20 to 40 people. The room features wireless Internet and A/V
Services. Food and beverage service is provided by Mount
Sunapee’s culinary services. Lessons, rentals, fun races and
other activities can be added to make a memorable and productive
day of work and play at Mount Sunapee. The Hearthstone Room
is ideal for meetings, social gatherings and other events that want
the added ambiance of being set in a winter mountain resort
environment.
Mount Sunapee’s convenient location to business centers such as
Concord, NH, Lebanon, NH, Manchester, NH and Boston, MA adds to the
value of the Hearthstone Room. Only 30 minutes from Concord
and Lebanon, 45 minutes from Manchester and 90 minutes from Boston,
a full day of work and play can be planned without overnight
accommodations. For multi-day meetings there are a variety of
lodging options nearby including the 55-room Best Western Lake
Sunapee Lodge at the entrance to the resort.
Mount Sunapee Resort with 65 trails and 10 lifts received eight
top 10 rankings in the East for snow quality, grooming, service,
access, food, weather, family programs and overall satisfaction in
the 2006 SKI Magazine Reader Survey. Depending on the season,
Mount Sunapee has meeting facilities for up to 300
people.
