Newbury, NH – (November 1, 2006) – Mount Sunapee Resort has been
included this year in the 2006 Demo Tour which is coordinated by
the New England Ski & Snowboard Reps. The tour visits
many of the major New England resorts in late November and early
December giving skiers and snowboarders an opportunity to test the
newest ski and snowboard equipment. “The quality of the snow
and grooming at Mount Sunapee makes it an excellent place to test
skis and snowboards”, said Will Mason, sales representative for
Rossignol and organizer of the Tour.
The Tour kicks off at Sunday River, ME on November, 25.
Mount Sunapee will host the Tour on Sunday, December 3 which
follows Killington, VT on Saturday, December 2. Most of the
major ski and snowboard manufacturers will be on hand to let skiers
and riders test their latest equipment. Those who wish to
demo equipment must bring a driver’s license and major credit
card.
Mount Sunapee’s Flyway trail, which connects Sunapee and Spruce
Lodges, provides an excellent venue for the Demo Tour. Six
hundred feet of the trail borders the main parking lot allowing all
of the manufacturers to back their demo vehicles right up to the
snow.
Mount Sunapee Resort soared in the SKI Magazine Annual Reader
Survey which was released in the October, 2006 issue.
Mount Sunapee ranked 2nd in the East for snow quality and 2nd in
the East for grooming. No other resort had combined rankings
higher than second for snow quality and grooming, which reflect
overall snow surfaces. Mount Sunapee also ranked an
impressive 3rd in North America for grooming.
